An upbeat report by the National Golf Foundation found that 94% of core golfers who have a private club membership plan on continuing to pay dues in the next three years. For clubs that want to hold onto this cohort, club consultant Otto Hartman suggests relaxing the dress code and providing business center services to put members at ease.
“A private club needs to feel like an extension of each member’s home," says Hartman. "That’s an old truism, and it has to be even more true today.”
