Farmland in Yangwang, China, was mapped using satellite technology as part of a pilot program. The program, which could eventually become a national effort, may help clarify vaguely defined boundaries between plots of land. "If we don't do this now, and the older generation passes away, the next generation won't know which plot is whose," said Pan Shengyu, who ran one of the land-titling efforts.
