The Power Company of Wyoming is scheduled to update the Carbon County Commission and the Rawlins City Council about the progress of the Chokecherry and Sierra Madre wind project and the TransWest transmission-line project. The process of seeking a state permit for the wind project is on hold as a Wyoming Senate bill could result in a rewrite of the funding rules for projects seeking approval from the state Industrial Siting Council, said Kara Choquette, communications director for the Power Company of Wyoming.
