The U.S. Postal Service must ensure that people who receive prescription drugs through the mail are not harmed by proposed cutbacks, 88 House members wrote in a letter to the postmaster general. "Consumers count on getting their prescriptions at the right time and often can't wait an additional two days, or even three days in the case of federal holidays that fall on a Monday," said Pharmaceutical Care Management Association president and CEO Mark Merritt, who noted that 1 in 6 mail-service prescriptions are delivered on a Saturday.
