Lawn and garden products maker Scotts Miracle-Gro posted a fiscal first-quarter loss of $67.7 million for the period ended Dec. 29, compared with a loss of $73.9 million a year earlier. The company saw its revenue rise by 3% from $199.6 million to $205.8 million. "Continued consumer engagement, coupled with solid execution, leaves us well-positioned for the 2013 lawn and garden season," said Jim Hagedorn, CEO and chairman.
