A recent study finds that about 25% of youths ages 9 to 16 in Ireland have been victims of cyberbullying -- a rate that is above the average for European countries. In many cases, the study finds, parents are unaware of the bullying, the effects of which can last anywhere from a few days to a couple of months or more. Responses to the bullying ranged from talking to friends and parents to blocking the aggressor online.
