The California Public Utilities Commission signed off on a 20-year deal that allows Southern California Edison to buy power from the proposed Alta Wind XIII project in Mojave, Calif. The facility's expected capacity is 100 megawatts, but Terra-Gen Power has the option to increase it to 180 MW. The PUC also approved a request by SoCalEd to resell a slew of renewable-energy facilities in California to Energy America.
