Chefs Club, a restaurant that began in Aspen, Colo., with visiting top chefs who sign on to cook exclusive dinners and design menus for a multiple-month stint, plans to open locations in New York City and San Francisco in the next two years.
"We wanted to have the chefs actually cooking the food and interacting with the customers," said Stephane De Baets, money manager for the restaurant's investor. "New York will be our flagship for what we hope will eventually be a global enterprise.”
