With the possibility of a 1.4-million-gallon propane storage facility coming to Florence, Colo., the Colorado Propane Research and Education group spearheaded a propane-fire training to prepare first responders. "This is just part of the process of being educated with that, along with just the propane stuff in general," said Fire Chief Gary McWilliams. "It's essentially a way to train firefighters and other first responders about the properties of propane, and how to handle emergencies that might come up either in a residential setting, a business or a vehicle that is delivering propane," said Baron Glassgow, executive director of the Colorado Propane Gas Association.
