Samsung Electronics gave only passing reference last week to one of the Galaxy S4's features: support for 802.11ac -- also known as Gigabit Wi-Fi -- a new standard that will enable wireless networks to transmit as fast as 1.3 gigabits per second. While few smartphones will house chips with the power to reach that speed, they still will be fast enough to stream HD video, according to chipmaker Broadcom.
