Some cement samples that could be connected with BP's Macondo drilling project in the Gulf of Mexico were discovered in Halliburton's laboratory in Louisiana, a lawyer for the services contractor said in a civil trial over the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Halliburton is studying whether the samples should have been submitted to the Department of Justice, lawyer Donald Godwin said. "The lab was immediately instructed to photograph the materials and to continue to hold them," he said.
