A federal judge rejected BP's motion to dismiss a possible gross negligence finding against the company in a civil trial over the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill. The U.K. oil major could pay up to $17.6 billion in Clean Water Act violations over such a finding. "I don't see any point in arguing it," U.S. District Judge Carl Barbier said.
