San Francisco startup Luvocracy is building a social network around a concept similar to Pinterest in its use of boards where users can post pictures of favorite products, but it only allows users to post products that link to the product's purchase page via a plugin. "We wanted to build a platform where you could see products recommended from everyone you trust in one place, so you can sift through it like a personalized catalog," said Luvocracy creative director Christine Martinez.
