Retailers and restaurants replaced finance as the biggest spenders in the Millennial Media mobile-ad network in 2012, according to a company report. Other top categories included entertainment and telecom. The government-services category showed the greatest growth with a whopping 860% increase stemming from election-year spending. Average mobile-ad spending among top advertisers climbed to $833,000 from $712,000 a year earlier.
