Nielsen surveyed more than 2,500 U.S. consumers and found that owners of game consoles used their equipment for video-on-demand streaming 22% of the time in 2012. That compares with 19% devoted to VOD streaming in 2011 and 13% in the year prior to that, the market research firm reported. PlayStation 3 owners reserved one-quarter of their time last year to watching VOD, up from the 2011 figure of 15%.
