New Yorkers will have to pay a 5-cent deposit when they buy sports drinks, energy drinks and fruit juices with less than 70% natural juice as the Assembly moves to expand the state's bottle bill. The expanded law is expected to raise $5 million per year for the Environmental Protection Fund, and already applies to beer, carbonated soft drinks, mineral water, carbonated energy drinks and carbonated fruit juice.
