Over the past 13 years, 8,200 clinical trials of pharmaceutical treatments have been conducted in Texas, PhRMA reports. "Improving health is a shared goal of biopharmaceutical companies and state medical schools, hospitals and clinical research facilities. Through clinical trials, they are not only helping advance science and improving patient care, but also strengthening Texas’ economy," PhRMA Senior Vice President Jeffrey Bond said. The state is considering new tax incentives to support for research and development.
