Taking antidepressants during pregnancy was associated with slightly higher risk for preterm birth, shorter gestation age, lower birth weight and lower Apgar scores, an analysis of 23 studies found. The risks of stopping antidepressants, however, may exceed the risks of taking the drugs, researchers said. The study appeared in the journal JAMA Psychiatry.
