The presence of ethanol in gasoline can damage small engines inside lawn equipment, according to Keith Beasley, owner of Thomasville Lawn and Garden in Thomasville, N.C. However, ethanol-free fuel can be hard to find and it increases costs for lawn care businesses, said Ron Stanley from Simply Green Lawn Maintenance.
