Internet advertisers who want to self-regulate had "better make sure" they do so the right way, says Sen. Mark Pryor, the Arkansas Democrat who now chairs the commerce subcommittee on communications, technology and the Internet. Speaking at an Association of National Advertisers gathering, Pryor said self-regulation brought risks for the industry. "I'm OK with self-regulation. It works well. But one bad actor or loophole could bring down the wrath of Congress on the industry," he warned.
