Showtime is the latest cable property looking to boost its sports-programming profile -- it has signed a big pay-per-view boxing deal with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and is fielding a Wednesday prime-time block with a sports-themed "60 Minutes" and a live-audience show with Jim Rome. "Uniqueness is very important to us."
