The number of breast augmentation procedures performed in the U.S. dropped last year, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. A newly approved implant, informally known as the "gummy bear implant," could spur greater demand, says Dr. Andrea Moreira of the Cleveland Clinic department of plastic surgery. The implant does not leak, has a natural-looking shape and is less likely to be associated with capsular contraction.
