Data on nearly 11,000 postmenopausal women showed 23.7% of those on estrogen treatment experienced less joint pain at one year, compared with 20.8% of those in the placebo group. However, estrogen treatment was not associated with improvements in joint swelling, researchers wrote in Menopause: The Journal of the North American Menopause Society.
