Many Americans have strong confidence in their ability to choose their own health care coverage through new public marketplaces, a recent survey found. Among uninsured, self-insured and employer-insured respondents, 53% of the uninsured and 60% of the self-insured were confident in making the right coverage choice. Previously insured survey respondents ages 45 to 64 years old were more confident in their decision-making abilities than 18- to 44-year-olds.
