Women are still less likely to attain leadership positions than male peers even though many companies have mentoring initiatives and talent-development programs, writes Adele Gulfo, president of Pfizer Latin America. While mentors are useful, women also need to find sponsors as they make their way through the business world. "The next best thing to having a seat at the table is having a sponsor to advocate on your behalf," she writes.
