Dyno Nobel International, an explosives maker and subsidiary of Incitec Pivot, Australia's largest fertilizer manufacturer, has announced plans to construct a state-of-the-art ammonia plant in Louisiana that is expected to produce 800,000 metric tons of anhydrous ammonia a year. KBR was chosen to build the $850 million project. Work could generate up to 750 construction jobs and should be complete in 2016.
