A plan is in the works to build a "super hydrogen" rail system that would link Michigan's Willow Run Airport to Detroit Metro Airport and extend it to Ann Arbor at a later date. The elevated, high-speed-rail system, designed to magnetically levitate, would be energized by "solar power stored by hydrogen." The cost of the first 60 miles of the project is estimated at $919 million, according to Justin Sutton, founder and managing partner of The Interstate Traveler Company.
