A bill that would repeal the E10 requirement in Florida's renewable fuels standard would jeopardize Algenol's planned $400 million expansion of its algae-to-ethanol facility in the state, said Algenol CEO Paul Woods. The measure "would make it difficult if not impossible to justify building our first commercial facility in Florida, over other states such as Texas," Woods wrote in a letter to Gov. Rick Scott. "This is the wrong signal" to investors, Woods said.
