An April Fools' Day American Eagle Outfitters commercial touting spray-on "skinny skinny" jeans shows how branded entertainment ads "can be the funniest stuff on the Web. As long as brands leave it to the professionals," writes Mike Shields. The bogus commercial was created by CollegeHumor, which has two full-time staffers, both ex-comedy writers, working on branded content.
