Students at four schools in South Australia recently remotely controlled the Sydney Powerhouse Museum's Mars rover -- becoming the first high-school students to maneuver the device across the museum's simulated Martian surface. Educators say they hope the experience will help interest students in science and be one of many virtual trips that students take. "The benefit of technology is you can set up experiments to demonstrate key concepts that would have been impossible before," said science teacher Brendan Burke.
