IBM released new technology for machine-to-machine messaging designed to make sense of the vast amounts of data flowing between the millions of embedded microprocessors that make up the emerging "Internet of things." IBM MessageSight, which will be commercially available May 24, collects, manages and routes data streams based on the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport protocol, or MQTT, recently labeled the standard of choice for next-generation M2M communications.
