The Genetically Engineered Food Right to Know Act, which would require the labeling of FDA-approved genetically modified foods such as salmon and grains, has been introduced in the U.S. Senate by Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., and in the House by Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore. "This legislation is supported by a broad coalition of consumer groups, businesses, farmers, fishermen and parents who all agree that consumers deserve more -- not less -- information about the food they buy," Boxer said.
