A California state court has ruled that police officers can pull drivers over for looking at maps on their phones while driving, not just for texting. In expanding the law's interpretation, the appellate court decided drivers could be endangering others "whether the wireless telephone was being used as a telephone, a GPS navigator, a clock or a device for sending and receiving text messages and e-mails."
