Chief information officers are increasingly trusting the cloud to handle complex functions, such as customer-relationship management and enterprise-resource planning. However, that trust has come slowly and at a price for vendors: rigorous service-level agreements. Still, CIOs complain that such agreements do not deliver everything they need. The best way for vendors to gain acceptance and trust is to go beyond simple metrics and deliver insight and actionable data.
