U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack and Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy were joined by lawmakers, nutrition advocates and others last week for a visit to a Connecticut elementary school, where they ate with students and discussed the importance of school-meal programs. "The simple fact is that children who aren't getting enough to eat can't be learning," said Malloy, who is currently urging more schools to serve breakfast, besides lunch.
