Bjarke Ingels Group has been charged with the task of making some lesser-visible buildings on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., more "intuitive and accessible." One of the group's plans for some of the Smithsonian buildings are to reorient their entrances so that they are directly on the mall. "Whatever we do must be much more visible and intuitively attractive for people arriving from the Mall, but at the same time, it has to blend in with the very different architectural styles of the buildings around it," said Bjarke Ingels.
