British doctors have used 3-D printing technology to help create a prosthetic face for a man who had most of the left side of his face removed during emergency surgery to remove an aggressive tumor. 3-D milling technology was used to create a titanium scaffold, and a plastic plate creates a seal around the man's mouth, allowing him to eat and drink for the first time in more than four years. The face prosthesis was created as a mirror image of the right side of his face and uses magnets that allow for easy removal.
