Menu aggregator and delivery service EAT Club is finding favor with investors for its practice of using a taste-testing team to try out restaurants and dishes before adding them to the site and mobile application. The startup, which uses a simple retail model and asks customers to place orders by 10:30 a.m. to keep up its 99% on-time record, recently raised $5 million in a new investment round led by August Capital.
