The Environmental Protection Agency's 2013 work plan for chemical risk assessment under the Toxic Substances Control Act will include full assessments on four flame retardants, as well as 1-bromopropane, octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane and the solvent 1,4-dioxane. EPA is soliciting information on the chemicals through May 30. The agency also plans to conduct environmental fate investigations on eight other flame retardants.
