The Dahalokely tokana dinosaur discovered in Madagascar is believed to be the oldest member of the abelisauroid group found on the island. The meat-eating dinosaur is estimated to be 9 to 14 feet long and probably lived only on the island and in India. "We had always suspected that abelisaurids were in Madagascar 90 million years ago, because they were also found in younger rocks on the island," said paleontologist and project leader Andrew Farke.
