The spinoff of "The Walking Dead" garnered 6.3 million viewers in the 18-to-49 demographic, another record for a cable series debut. "Fear the Walking Dead" will wrap its first season after six episodes, leading into the sixth season of "The Walking Dead" in October.
Former DreamWorks Animation producer Kristine Belson is taking on the role of president of Sony Pictures Animation and will report to Sony Pictures Entertainment co-chair Amy Pascal. Belson earned an Academy Award nomination for "The Croods" and was an executive producer on "How to Train Your Dragon."
"G.I. Joe: Retaliation" took the top spot at the box office over the holiday weekend, bringing in $51.7 million over a four-day span. "The Croods" and "Tyler Perry's Temptation" came in second and third, respectively.
