Starz's new series "Ash vs. Evil Dead" doesn't debut until Saturday, but it has already received the go-ahead for a second season. The series is inspired by the "Evil Dead" movie franchise created by Sam Raimi, who serves as executive producer of the TV edition. "The early fan and press support, along with the international broadcaster demand for more story, have made it clear that the adventures of Ash Williams can't end with season one," said Carmi Zlotnik, Starz managing director.
Starz on Oct. 31 will debut its original series "Ash Vs. Evil Dead," inspired by the "Evil Dead" horror movies, in the US and more than 100 other countries and territories. The show will air on both TV and digital platforms.

Kia is using a cartoon family of prehistoric characters called "The Croods" to promote its new Carens multipurpose vehicle with a "cab-forward" design. "The Croods" is a DreamWorks Animation 3D movie opening today.
