Facebook will introduce its smartphone strategy today with the social network company expected to team up with phone maker HTC on a midpriced Android-powered handset in which Facebook will tweak the software to provide the company with a major presence on the home screen of the handsets. Also, EMarketer issued a report Wednesday predicting that Facebook would more than double its U.S. mobile advertising revenues this year to $965 million following a move to insert ads into cellphones and tablets.
