The city of Covington, Ga., is planning to set up a compressed natural gas fueling facility and convert its fleet to CNG to save on fuel. The project could cost about $2 million over the next few years, and the city has yet to decide whether it will fund the entire project or partner with a private company. In addition to fueling the city's vehicles, the facility would be used to market CNG to public customers and other governments.
