Being passed over for a promotion doesn't necessarily mean you should start looking for a new job, Alison Green writes. Try to get along with the new manager, be open to that person's ideas and continue to do your best. "[I]f you find that you can't do that, then you might be better off looking for a different position somewhere else, before you harm your reputation with your coworkers and your current company," Green writes.
