The overwhelming viral success of the Human Rights Campaign's effort to get social media users to post a red version of its logo as their profile photos in support of gay rights was due in part to its decision to reach out to celebrities and businesses to be early adopters, says HRC marketing director Anastasia Khoo. Influencers such as Martha Stewart and Beyonce, as well as brands such as Bud Light were among those to change their profile pictures.
