Ren Zhengfei, the private founder and head of the Chinese telecom equipment provider Huawei, says his company has no immediate plans to go public and will look outside his immediate family when the time comes to name his replacement. "Huawei's successor should not only have vision, character and ambition, like what we've said before, but also a good global perspective and the acumen to drive the business," Ren wrote in an internal letter to employees. "My family members do not possess these qualities."
