Babies who were predominantly fed formula until 6 months of age were more than twice as likely to be obese by age 2 than were those who were exclusively breast-fed, according to a study in the journal Pediatric Obesity. Researchers noted that introduction to solid food before 4 months of age and sleeping with a bottle were also linked to an increased obesity risk.
