Two new insurance products address the risk of lost contributions to 401(k) plans in the event of a disability. One product, offered by Corporate Compensation Plans, provides a lump-sum payment a year after the disability that is intended to replace the total contributions the employee would have made to a 401(k) plan. The other product, from Pension Advisory Group, makes deposits comparable to an employee's retirement contributions, and then holds those deposits in trust until retirement age.
