Appliance maker Electrolux is unveiling a new upscale product range on the North American market. The Grand Cuisine line of products includes a blaster chiller for rapid freezing and six other appliances that will have costs as much as $120,000.
Cost cuts and price increases have helped Whirlpool Corp. achieve a higher-than-expected profit for the first quarter. The appliance maker, which produces Maytag and KitchenAid products, expects to see further growth this year as the U.S. market improves.
