Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin, D-Mich., wants a one-year solution for sequestration until a longer-range deal can be forged. "We simply cannot continue to ignore the effects of sequestration," Levin said this week. His backing of a one-year fix is a reversal of his earlier position, in which he said the entire sequestration should be addressed in one deal.
